Helloooo, Cupcake!
I took a cupcake decorating class from Karen Tack, the author of Hello, Cupcake! to learn how to make some of her whimsical cupcake creations. With just frosting, store bought candies and cookies, anyone can make these playful cupcakes.

Once Karen demonstrated, then the class had a chance to try it for themselves. Here is my shark made with a Hostess Twinkie:
Spaghetti and meatballs were made with frosting for pasta, a Ferrer-Roche chocolate bon-bon for the meatball, and strawberry jam for the sauce:
Here's a westie dog with a miniature cupcake for his head, Starburst fruit chew for his tongue, mini marshmallows for his muzzle and ears, all on top of a regular size cupcake for his body:
My absolute favorite was the sunflower made with Oreo and mini Oreo cookies for the flower center, spearmint chews for the leaves, and finally, red M&Ms for the lady bugs.
So much fun!!!
